Dr Murithi is currently a visiting scholar at the Centre for Entrepreneurship Innovation, De Montfort University, an adjunct at Ashesi University, and Strathmore Business School. Dr Murithi is an experienced educator who has taught in three different continents in four universities in the United Kingdom, China, Ghana and Kenya. Previously, he was a senior lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University, UK. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Now Advance HE) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (UK).
Dr Murithi’s research interests range from entrepreneurship, strategy, family business, regional development, entrepreneurship ecosystems, business model innovation, digital transformation, and socio-cultural and institutional context within developing economies. He has presented his research in international conferences and published in ABS ranked journals.
Dr Murithi is a founding manager of Ennovation Base management and consulting limited and serves in different capacities as a board advisor and trustee in organisations in the UK, Ireland and Kenya. He is also an experienced consultant in management and enterprise strategy, project management and curriculum development consultant.
