Pyara Calisto

Programs and Community Assistant

Pyara studied philosophy at Universidade Federal do Paraná, in Brazil, between 2014 and 2018, but she had been questioning herself and others about life and society since childhood. Being very curious and eager to learn, Pyara passed on this knowledge when she worked teaching human rights to children, philosophy to teenagers, and adult literacy to vulnerable adults in Parolin.

After university, she started to focus her knowledge and experience on the social sector. Ever since, she has worked in many movements and organizations linked to different causes, such as LGBTQIANP+, family farming, agrarian reform, social entrepreneurship, and human rights.
