Omar Rabie

Staff, Nahdet El Mahrousa

Omar Rabie is an Account Manager for a social enterprise in its early stage called Nahdet El Mahrousa. Omar is also a Senior Program Coordinator at Ana Masry Foundation and an active member of Green Arm. Prior to Nahdet El Mahrousa, Omar worked as a Communication and Social Mobilization Fellow at UNAIDS Egypt office as part of his Lazord Fellowship at the Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement in the American University in Cairo. While at university, Omar wanted to be exposed to public service and civic engagement initiatives. He joined several student and youth-led organizations such as Enactus, Alashanek Ya Balady, and AIESEC. Rabie won the DEMENA Innovation Cup in 2012 and was awarded the Pioneer and the Social Innovator badge as part of Microsoft Innovate for Good Community. Omar earned his bachelor’s degree in Law and he is currently obtaining his master’s degree in Euro-Mediterranean studies at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
