Kennedy is a Mining Engineer by training from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya. He is passionate about the contribution of extractive industries to people’s lives, in particular within Africa and engineering for development. Africa’s reliance on agriculture as a source of income is facing a major challenge from climate change, and there is a new push for natural resources as source of materials and energy to run new technologies. Kennedy believes that there is a need to innovate business models to address all this challenges and social innovation will lead to the answer.
