Frances graduated with a degree in Environment Politics and Globalisation from Kings College, London in 2013. Since then her career has taken her from London to Amsterdam and most recently to Nairobi, Kenya. Frances has lived in Papua New Guinea, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, India and Kenya. She has a strong background in education, sales, business development and customer experience spanning the travel industry and the renewable energy sector.
Three years ago, Frances’ career pivoted when she entered the NGO sector, working with a British NGO based in Nairobi focusing on energy access across rural East Africa. She has a keen interest in the role education plays in poverty alleviation and has worked in conventional education settings with an NGO for street children in India as well as working with young entrepreneurs eager to learn how to grow their businesses and create an impact in their society.
Frances hopes that at Amani Institute she will gain the knowledge and skills needed in order to be a changemaker on the educational front of development work. She enjoys travelling, learning about new cultures and is a yoga enthusiast.
