Felix Mutwiri Kamwara

Hope for Future

Born and raised in Tharaka Nithi county in rural Kenya, Felix came to Nairobi through a Jesuit program, working in an apostolate designation with Comboni missionaries from Italy. He worked and lived in Korogocho, an informal settlement in Nairobi. This challenging experience raised many questions for him, why people lived the way they did while feeling pity and fear in the same time. Through time and guidance he fell in love with the work, learning about people’s life stories and seeing how the work changed people’s lives. He worked with the street children program; visited the sick and did other church assignments. Driven by his many questions about life, he graduated 2013 with a Bachelor in Philosophy and a Diploma in Religious Studies. He then started to work with Hope for Future NGO in their Social and Health care Centre in Korogocho. Felix is passionate about changing the world and likes spending time with people discussing life issues and how to improve. He loves team building activities, enjoys dancing the Bongo, Kikuyu and Luo songs.
