Evans Odhiambo

Evans is an amateur photographer, a chess enthusiast with an avid interest in development, education, arts and technology. He has been active in the social change space having worked for both local and international NGO’s specifically as an M & E practitioner and researcher.

He has worked for African Education Project as Country Coordinator, as head of M & E and Research for Ujamaa-Africa, M & E lead for Save the Children and for the last 3 years as the Executive Director of Kesho Kenya, a grassroots organisation whose mission is to advance access to education and employment for vulnerable young people living in the coast of Kenya.  Prior to the switch to the social sector, he worked as a systems administrator for Eclof-Kenya and Institute of Advanced technology.

At Kesho Kenya, he has special interest in the youth and their ability to catalyse change and therefore you will always find him acting out a part in a play for the theatre for development project, or offering tutorials in maths and physics and best of all capturing all memorable moments on film.He is currently undertaking a portrait photography project that sets to explore human emotions.

He is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with a masters degree in Population Studies
