Ana Teresa Valladares is from Caracas, Venezuela. She has a Law Degree from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
Her dream is to build a network of social entrepreneurs in Venezuela and to create the necessary policies to make social innovation and entrepreneurship a “de facto” trend for all economic activities in the country. In University, she was the Vice-President of the Law Student Council, Student Representative to the Law Faculty Council, and the Law School’s Student Representative to the Student Movement. She was also part of the university’s Model United Nations Team to the Harvard National Model of United Nations, earning the Best Delegate, Best International Delegation and Best Delegation Award in 2017.
Since she was 18 years old, Ana has volunteered in various political activities, including election campaigns for Henrique Capriles, Miguel Pizarro and Carlos Ocariz. She worked for the Law Firm Grau, García, Hernández y Mónaco under the tutelage of José Ignacio Hernández, current Special Attorney General of Venezuela where she contributed to special investigations and projects for the Harvard Center for International Development. She also worked for 2 years at Impact Hub Caracas as Coordinator for Global Initiatives and Impact Measurement. She is keen to move from theory to effective practice and collaborate to build a better and more loving world for all.
