Adriana grew up as part of a peacebuilding organization, learning the values of justice, peace, and human rights from a very young age. Thanks to her mother, who was brave enough to let her join an international educational program in Norway at only 11 years old. Not surprisingly, education is her passion, and she is a true believer in the power of developing people to act for social change.
With a bachelor’s in business administration and MBA, Adriana worked for nine years in different private sectors, from national to global companies, developing extensive experience in business management, from strategic planning to running day-to-day projects. Between 2015 and 2016, she shifted directions, going to Europe for a master’s in Human Rights and Democratisation, focusing her studies on understanding how capacity building/peace education programs develop individuals who ultimately will act as multipliers to bring about change in the world.
Back in Brazil, Adriana joined Ismart, a social institution that supports gifted low-income students’ access to quality education. First, she coordinated the organization’s management system and, later, the institutional relations, in charge of partnerships and donors management.
Adriana joined Amani in early 2022 as Global Manager for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Operations.
Born in Brazil and now based in São Paulo, she also lived in Argentina, Italy, and Austria. She loves to try foods from other countries, learn new dances, and occasionally attempt to take pretty pictures of others.
