"Identify, support and scale innovations that create social and environmental impact"

Confrey is building his career around protecting the future of nature and people. He currently is working as the Innovation strategist at WWF where he is responsible for starting up the WWF Kenya Innovation Programme “PandaLabs". Confrey is a trained psychologist from Kenyatta University and a Social Innovation Management Fellow of the Amani Institute. He co-founded the start-up UTAFITI, a Kenyan digital research platform and worked as a design thinking consultant for Bluesky Innovations. He participated in the Unleash Innovation Lab in Denmark to work on groundbreaking solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals where his team’s concept, Afterain, won second place in Health. He believes feeling connected to nature has a positive impact on people and is driven to support, connect and engage WWF Kenya in global work on innovation. He has a passion for mentoring creative talents of young people and has supported Safaricom Blaze BYOB program as the Technology Mentor, Contributor at KamiLimu and Andela's professional development sessions.
