Betty Nyagoha

Betty Nyagoha was the founder and manager of Gatoto Integrated Development Programme and Secretary to the Board of the Organization. She was one of 5 founding teachers of Gatoto Community Primary School. At inception in 1994, Gatoto had an enrolment of 370 pupils and now has a population of 1000 pupils.Betty graduated from the University of Nairobi, and had a strong passion for equity in universal access to education. She specialized in team management and project planning and, outside work, enjoyed movies and having a good laugh!

She was a source of hope for the Mukuru kwa Reuben community and is fondly remembered as an epitome of success by the school alumni, parents, partners and community at large.
