Bernice runs House of Briqs, a briquette manufacturing business she founded in 2015. Her product serves as an alternative to wood charcoal, which is harmful to the environment and human health. Her business is signed as a client to the Kenya Climate Innovation Center which offers support to entrepreneurs in the country. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Project Management & Logistics which she obtained from the University of Botswana. Having lived in two countries, Bernice loves learning the dynamics of different cultures, meeting people from other countries and is keen to travel the world. Being passionate about education and women empowerment, she wants to work in projects related to these areas and is looking to develop her leadership and problem-solving skills to create social change. Bernice enjoys outdoor activities, house music, poetry and cooking with friends while enjoying a drink.
