Ashlyn is an environmentalist, avid reader and mentor with a passion for young people. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the United States International University, Kenya and an advanced certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Kenya Institute of Management.
Currently she works at Strategic Insight Group, a communication firm in the agribusiness sector. She also volunteers at Olive International, a youth NGO and Bio-gen Kenya, a start-up working in renewable energy. Moreover, she has been professionally engaged as a research consultant with Technoserve, an agribusiness NGO and research institutions such as Sustainable Development Initiative Centre (SUDIC) and Agribusiness Center in building capacity towards sustainability and development.
Her involvement with Olive International has enabled her to gain the necessary skills to impart change to future generations. As a beneficiary of their certified peer mentoring, training and transformational leadership program, she is hopeful to share her skills and knowledge with children and youth, with the expectation that her actions will positively influence them one step at a time.
