‘I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.’
– Michael Jordan
What do an expert in Innovation with 12-year experience working for the Canadian space agency, a Musician and Manager in the music industry, a CFO, a TV host and a Business Consultant have in common?
They all failed. Even more than once!
They have failed but from these failures they have grown stronger and wiser, they have built their knowledge and their success. And they will be sharing their mistakes and their learnings on May 4th, in Nairobi, during the FailFaire 2016.
We, at Amani Institute, believe that given the incredible amount of innovation in different sectors in Nairobi, there is a tremendous amount we can learn from each other’s failures in a comfortable and closed setting. That’s why in 2013 we have launched the annual FailFaire Nairobi, and we are now ready to enjoy the 4th edition, in collaboration with iHub.
Our objective is to go beyond the traditional norms of presenting “best practices” and success stories (they could be so boring!) because there is as much we can learn from what went right as from what went wrong… having much more fun in a vibrant, irreverent atmosphere!
Are you ready to join a community of original people who are not afraid of failing a million times, to become a million times better? Are you ready to struggle until your vision doesn’t come true? Are you thinking big enough to be credible, without fear of failure?
Watch thisfantastic video by Adam Grant on the Surprising Habits of Original Thinkers in preparation and make sure to RSVP on our eventbrite to participate in the FailFaire 2016 on May 4th!
